Selection
For admission to Pre-Sea Training courses, as per the circular from the Directorate General Shipping.Govt of india, SHIPPING COMPANY SPONSOR IS NOT REQUIRED.
After collecting and verifying the Application forms,the CTM Selection Board will send the Provisional Selection Notice. Selected Candidated will have to undergo Medical Test(as per medical fitness MS Rules 2000) at the time of admission.
Documents:
Along with the Application,following documents should be submitted.
Educational Qualification Certificate, Final Examination Marksheet School (or) College Leaving Certificate/ Transfer Certificate. Passport if available (All Original to be submitted at the time of Admission).
Registration:
Candidates can Reserve the seat by sending an Initial Reservsation fee of Rs.75,000/-(Seventy Five Thousand only) by DD.
This amount will be adjusted from the course fee at the time of joining the course
Course Date:
The course Commencement date, Application form issuance date will be announced through the Newspaper Advertisement (or) it can be checked up with the college /Head Office directly.
If a candidate meets the admission Requirements for the desired courses,they can directly join the college.
Fees Particulars:
On the course commencement date,the selected candidate should pay the TOTAL COURSE FEES to confirm their admission.
The course fee is inclusive of Food & Accommodation, Uniforms, STCW Courses. The fee can be paid either by CASH (Directly at the Head Office in person only) or by DEMAND DRAFT drawn in favour of "COSMOPOLITAN TECHNOLOGY OF MARITIME" payble at CHENNAI.
Final Examination:
The Final Examination for the Pre-sea Training will be conducted by the External Examiners nominated by the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS )/ Mercantile Marine Department (MMD),Govt. of India. The examination will be written and oral segment.After the successful completion of the examination,the Institute will issue the COURSE CERTIFICATE.
On completion of the Pre-Sea Training ,all the candidates have to complete the STCW 95 Basic Modular course.
C.D.C:
After completing Pre-Sea Training and STCW ' 95 Basic Familiarisation Courses (EFA,FP& FF, PST,PSSR) the Rating candidates will obtain CONTINUOUS DISCHARGE CERTIFICATE (INDIAN CDC).
Indian CDC is an important Document for the Seafarers to serve on board any Indian or foreign ships. CDC will be issued by Mercantile Marine Department/ Directorate General of shipping, Government of India INDOS No is also issued.
Rules and Regulations:
  1. Cosmopolitan Technology of Maritime College is only the training Institute and it is not responsible for the placement.

  2. The rules regulations shall be binding on all students. This may be changed without prior intimation to the students.

  3. After admission the college will retain the original certificates and it will be returned only after the completion of the course

  4. Fees once paid are not refundable or transferable for any reason under any circumstances.

  5. Students are expected to maintain strict discipline in college / hostel campus / outside during training period. Use of alchohol, tobacco and other illegal drugs are strictly prohibitted. If any student violating, will be dismissed from the college.

  6. CTM will take necessary care about any emergencies. College Dispensary is equipped with adequate first aid medical facilities. College is not responsible for any personal injury or any diseases suffered by any trainees during their training and stay.

  7. College is not responsible for any kind of Accident / Death / Physical Injuries when they are doing practicals in the college or any other place of training out side the college such as Swimming Pool, Port Trust, Boating. Also college is not responsible for any compensation for any incident / Refund of the college fee.

  8. The college is approved for specialised number of seats for each course. The entire infrastructure and facility of the college are utilized by the said seats. Thus each seat involves considerable proportionate cost. Once the course has commenced, new candidates cannot join the course in midway. Thus each candidate is expected to complete his course in one go. .

  9. In case of any dispute, the Directors / Managements discretion and decission will be final and the students ae expected to abide by these regulations strictly.

  10. All disputes are subject ot the jurisdiction of CHENNAI City only.
